Our Headquarters

Our Headquarters is located in beautiful Sandpoint, Idaho.

721 Pine Street Sandpoint ID 83864

We are so happy that so many people from all over the world have come to beautiful Sandpoint, Idaho to meet us and see the pilot project. We often take selfies with visitors and post them on our Instagram page: Solar Roadways Instagram

Scott and Julie are available by appointment. We welcome students of all ages. We love to talk to the many children who see SR as the way to protect their future.

Unfortunately, we are all working full time to push this project forward so we don't have anyone readily available to answer the phone. Email is the best and fastest way to reach us. Please check the links to the left for the email address most appropriate to your topic. You'll find more information about each topic there too.

We have a variety of email addresses – please look at the buttons on the left to select the most relevant one. This helps us to get back to you as quickly as we can. We are blessed with a wonderful problem - although we respond to as many emails as we can each day, we still have over 17,000 to answer! We will answer each one as soon as we possibly can. If the matter you are emailing about is urgent or time sensitive, please put URGENT in the subject line to draw our attention.

Want to be a Customer?

Customers: Customers@SolarRoadways.com
Thank you so much for your interest in our panels. They can be installed in a diverse selection of applications for homeowners and business owners.

For Homeowners:

Driveways, walkways, patios, sports courts, pool surrounds, and courtyards - Each application will enhance the aesthetics of your home, provide a wonderful ambience for entertaining, and can double as a dance floor! Most importantly, SR panels will provide your home with clean energy. Read more about benefits to homeowners here.

For Business Owners and Municipalities:

Parking lots, sidewalks, roads, highways, helipads, and airport tarmacs - All such applications will provide customized line markings. SR allows people to utilize signage on their panels to help better meet the needs of customers, while showing them how much you care about the environment. The clean energy generated can be used to power buildings as well as charge Electric Vehicles. Customers will be happy to know they are charging their EV with clean energy from the sun rather that dirty fossil fuels! Read more about benefits to business owners here.

Data Collection Sites

Data Collection Sites: Data@SolarRoadways.com
Thank you for your interest in becoming a Data Collection Site for Solar Roadways. Currently, we have our first site in north Idaho and two more sites in Arizona. One of the Arizona sites is at Biosphere2, and the other is at the Westward Look Hotel in Tucson. We receive data from them daily, which compliments the data we generate at our home base here in north Idaho. We are comparing two panels; one flat and one angled correctly for that latitude. The data helps us determine the amount of energy we can expect to generate at a given latitude.

Data Collection Sites must be public properties and preferably high profile. We are sending one SR3 panel to each of the Data Collection Sites as a thank you for the help, and so that people in that area have a place to go to view one of the panels. If you are interested in working with us to collect data, please send us an email. If your location is at a latitude where we need to collect data, we’ll send you our spec sheet, so you can assess the opportunity.

Distribution Opportunities

Distributors: Distributors@SolarRoadways.com
We receive many messages from people asking about distributorships. We are not yet certain which model we will use. We are considering distributorships, which may also have an installation component. If we use this model, we will train and certify distributors.

If you would like to be considered for a distributorship, should we chose this model, we are happy to receive your resume now. Please let us know what area you would like to cover and any other pertinent details.

Donations

Donations: Donations@SolarRoadways.com
Although donating through our Indiegogo campaign continues to be an option, some people have asked to donate to us directly, rather than through crowdfunding.

Now that we have added our SR Gear page it’s possible for supporters who want to donate directly to receive a thank you gift too. We have three t-shirts available now and will be adding more options soon. Items that require sizing will be available only on this website, while items which do not have sizes will continue to be available through our Indiegogo InDemand Campaign, which is a perpetual campaign.

Please use this email address if you have questions about donating directly to SR. If your question pertains to Indiegogo donations, please email us at Indiegogo@SolarRoadways.com

If you want to mail a check to us, our mailing address is on the main Contact us page Thank you so much for your help and support!

Indiegogo - InDemand

Indiegogo: Indiegogo@SolarRoadways.com
Please use this email address for any questions or concerns about your Indiegogo perks, or other questions about our InDemand Indiegogo campaign.

Sometimes a contributor does not provide their contact information when they donate, or there is some other glitch, and we’ve been unable to fulfill a perk. If you have not received your perk within a reasonable amount of time, please let us know, so we can make it right. Email the perk that is missing along with your current mailing address and the email address you used to make the donation.

We also love to hear ideas for perks you would like us to add.

Thank you to all who have donated! For more information about how donations have helped move us forward, read more here.

Press Information

Press: Press@SolarRoadways.com
If you are a member of the press and would like to request an interview or email a question, please use the above email address. We find there are natural “seasons” here at Solar Roadways – times where we are able to accept interview requests and times where we are too focused on engineering.

Each time we reach a new milestone, such as releasing our new SR3 prototype, we have another open window for the media and welcome interviews, speaking engagements, television and radio appearances and the like.

If you are interested in photos and graphics that are free to use, you can find them here.

Need A Presenter?

Presentations: Presentations@SolarRoadways.com
Let us know if your organization would like to request Scott or another employee as a speaker. Scott enjoys presenting Solar Roadways in a variety of venues, when he can. When we are focused on engineering, he generally has to turn down events. He has regretfully turned down some exciting invitations. He has very much enjoyed the ones he has been able to accept, including: Google’s Solve for X event in New York, the Keynote address for the International Parking Institute in Florida, a 50-year Girl Scout Jamboree reunion, and a TEDx event in California.

We will do our best to accommodate your event.

Have a question we can answer?

Questions: Questions@SolarRoadways.com
If you have a general question about Solar Roadways that doesn’t fit into any of the other categories, please use this email address. First though, you might read through this website, especially the Specifics page, to see if the answer to your question is there. If not, it helps us to hear questions that we may have overlooked. We can then add them, as other people may have wondered about the same topic.

We try our best to answer as many questions as we can. Keep in mind that some information is proprietary, and if so we will let you know.

If you are a student with a question, please read more here.

Our Solar Students

Students: Students@SolarRoadways.com
We are honored by how many students from elementary school through graduate students have chosen Solar Roadways for presentations, papers, projects, theses, and dissertations. We always do our best to help out, so please use the above email address if you are a student with a question. We know how time sensitive this can be, and try to get back to people as quickly as we can but we do receive thousands of emails. You will likely find helpful information in our Specifics page.

If you send an email and do not receive a reply within a week, please resend and put Urgent in the subject line to draw our attention.

And good luck with your project!

We love it when students send us the photos, videos, and written papers they have done on Solar Roadways.

Some have also written to us expressing an interest in internships. We are not currently offering internships, but we will be looking into the possibility of offering some internships for the summer of 2016. If you are interested, please email us at Interns@SolarRoadways.com

If you are a teacher working on a class project, we’d love to hear from you too!
